My property and cars are covered by Churchill but I will be looking for an alternative provider in the future.
Never claimed on my house insurance until recently but part of the rendering on my chimney came down last week in the storms and I naturally called Churchill. They have not accepted my claim as they have put it down to bad workmanship ?? How they have deduced that, I don’t know.
I would not recommend their services to anyone as they appear to find any excuse not to pay out. Be warned!!

This was the cheapest car policy, with less excess, that came up on a compare site. Over half of what I had been quoted by my previous insurer when I changed my car half way through policy. Well known provided too - very happy.

Very positive experience. Straight forward process. I have given 4 stars as this is the first time I have chosen Church for home insurance and see how it goes by the end of my policy. I will recommend it to my friends and family to choose Churchill.

Very reasonable quote. Easy to fill in forms and purchase. Clear as to what was and was not included. Particularly like the fact they send you a booklet with all policy details in. Rare these days.
I was in a hit and run collision, I was singled out onto a roundabout by a motorcycle police officer as the three motorbikes had stopped opposing traffic , I was exiting the roundabout when a maniac drove through the hundreds of people who were crossing
The road , he hit my car and then sped away at high speed , obviously hundreds of witnesses, I immediately phoned the police and Churchill .
Two years later my car is not properly repaired and the case is finally going to court the litigators appointed by Churchill can no long mishandle this simple case as they are in South Africa . What ever you do do not insure with Churchill incompetence beyond belief .

Churchill have replied at the bottom with their standard response to make it look like they are bothering, when you call them after 20 mins of automated voices you will get through to someone who is trained to block you and be obstructive.
So let's keep this sweet and short, the company will offer you the world and do everything it can to avoid assisting you. They will pass you over to another company (that they sub contract) and then be resolute that they can't do anything as it was another company and you need to deal with them, while said company will just refer you to your insurer therefore leaving you in limbo. Poor is a word that's far superior to them.
No problems at all on purchasing car insurance via the website... all very clear and self explanatory. Hope I don’t ever need to make a claim but trust that if I do it will all go as smoothly.
I bought comprehensive cover with them, but unfortunately if u travel to europe u only cover 3rd parties. Gotta pay extra 50 pounds to get myself cover.
